With a background in producing large-scale public art installations both in Canada and internationally, Emily McInnes helped introduce grand-format artworks into spaces more commonly used for commercial display.  During her tenure as a curator at CONTACT Photography Festival, and as co-founder of Flash Forward Festival, she helped shape a new visual language for contemporary photography in the public realm—working with world-renowned artists and technical partners like 3M to realize ambitious, site-specific works at scale. Since then, she has commissioned and installed dozens of fine art murals in collaboration with emerging and established artists. Grand in scale and deeply impactful, these installations bring contemporary culture into the built environment—transforming façades, activating overlooked spaces, and connecting communities through shared visual experience.
