Emily McInnes Art Consulting
Emily McInnes is a senior art consultant with over 30 years of experience curating contemporary art collections for corporations, developers, hospitality brands, and private clients. She is the founder of EYE BUY ART—an award-winning e-commerce platform launched in 2009 to support emerging artists—and also leads Emily McInnes Art Consulting, a full-service firm delivering customized art programs for national and global clients.
Emily has spearheaded major art initiatives for several influential brands, including Scotiabank, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment and Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. She has also forged strategic partnerships with Aeroplan (Air Canada's loyalty program), the Drake Hotel, and the National Gallery of Canada, and has curated high-impact installations in airports, sports arenas, and major residential developments.
From 2004 to 2008, Emily was a Director at CONTACT Toronto Photography Festival and in 2009, she co-founded the Flash Forward Festival, where she advanced emerging talent and significantly expanded the reach and reputation of both organizations.
Her career began at the intersection of photography, travel, and cultural storytelling. In 2006 she helped Magnum Photos launch its Portfolio Review program in New York, worked at a luxury safari camp in Botswana through a connection with the late photographer Peter Beard, and has written on contemporary art for The Globe & Mail. In 2010, she was selected to attend a private workshop with leadership expert Seth Godin for “Women Entrepreneurs Who Make a Difference” —an experience that sparked a connection with Godin and this group of entrepreneurs that continues to this day.
